So, an idea...

Madison asked, the last time we met, what kind of character I was going to be running. This was an interesting question, because I originally was not planning on it.

So now there's a quandry at stake. Here are the two options:
1. I do not run a character, instead moderating the content and generally moving the story along. The advantage in this is that I have no general stake over what happens to the characters, so I could interact with the characters in a more fair, unbiased manner. The disadvantage is that I would be missing out on a great opportunity.
2. I run a character, while moderating the story at the same time. The advantage of this is, I can switch perspectives to find an interesting, two-way balance (and it gives me a really great story hook that I had in mind). The disadvantage is that things could get kind of hectic, and I might take "sides" without knowing it (although I would try not to...).

So... Feedback would probably be helpful here. Oh, and a list of Canon characters from the bleach universe who are generally on the side of good:
-2nd Division: Soifan and Marechiyo Omaeda
-3rd Division: Gin Ichimaru* and Izura Kira
-4th Division: Retsu Onahana
-6th Division: Renji Abarai
-7th Division: Sajin Komamura*
-8th Division: Shunsui Kyoraku and Nanao Ise
-10th Division: Toshiro Hitsuguya
-11th Division: Kenpachi Zaraki and Yachiru Kusajishi
-12th Division: recently reinstated Kisuke Urahara*
-13th Division: Jushiro Ukitake

Any names with an asterisk: they're...special. each of these characters proves to be a major plot point, and they are going to change. Play them, but be forewarned. (and Yes, I will talk more in-depth with you on these characters. especially Gin.) Names that are missing represent dead/lost/defected Shinigami: they are not playable, but feel free to ask why, as it varies between characters.

Let's get this rolling

Okay, everyone, the Bleach RP is getting off the ground starting today. Thanks to everyone for their support, particularly Madison, whom without this would probably not exist.

So, we obviously need a set of ground rules. Here goes:
1. Common courtesy. No spamming, being offensive, God-modding, harassment, vulgar language flaming or anything else that would normally be considered taboo in regular conversation. Seriously, people.
2. ...

Well, this is a creative experiment. I'll let you know if you're being offensive, and we can tone it down, m'kay?

Oh, and feel free to pick out a character: this is going to be near infinite-canon, so all universes of shinigami can (and will) exist, with earth being a happy exception. Now, this gives you three options:
1. Play a canon character. this is fine, but some have been killed in the divine struggle- follow the next post to see who is still alive.
2. Playing a canon non-bleach character (e.g. Seto Kaiba, Mewtwo, L). This is also fine, and since these are "new arrivals" none of them will have died. They need to have an appropriate shikai/bankai (how powerful ARE they?), but feel free to use your creative capacity.
3. Playing your own invention. Hoo boy; I've got a little handy guide for this sort of thing, if anyone wants to do so, expect to see it in a future post. this could be tricky, but also potentially more fun than anything else.

PLEASE, PLEASE respond with your character ideas. A reply is fine. I just need to gather a census of everyone playing, is all.

Oh, and the previous contest is coming near a close. Here's a hint; You can find it in the KIDS SECTION of the library. some of you may remember reading it.

So, had to change the title for the blog. I got 2 many complaints about suppossed unacceptable imagry. For the record, when I say "Two," I'm not using chatspeak in an annoying manner. I'm simply referring to the fact that two complaints is too many.

Ugh.

Anyway, new Contest. I named this blog after a graphic novel taht can currently be found at the library. find it and tell me the name to win a bunch of cookies, everyone's favorite method of measuring.
